GET ANGRY WITH US (VIDEO; BEHIND THE SCENES)
It's no secret that we are a long way from equality. Even in the music industry. An industry that is made up of voices in more than one sense - voices that should be allowed to shout, whisper, scream and shine on equal terms. In February, Martha Elisabeth put on an absolutely amazing concert in collaboration with Hun Solo at Teater Republique, focusing on anger, the experienced, the shared and the all-consuming suppressed frustrating feeling that many minoritized people most likely recognize themselves in - and that we have learned to keep hidden. This evening was a community where the whole room, the performers, the artists, the organizers, EVERYONE came together to let go and feel seen. We have to be personal on this "professional" website, because we have rarely been so moved, smiling and tremblingly engrossed in a musical experience - and in the same room be gripped in an experience of having to work extra hard to be allowed to be here. It was all tied together by amazing Marie Strøyers heartbreaking, beautiful lyrics. All in beautiful clothes created by Marie Barker. We're so impressed and proud that these artists are present on the danish music scene, and we're so proud to be part of a movement where we lift and grab each other. This is why it makes sense.

This event is focused on merchandise - a production general known to be harmful to the climate. Twelve young and talented designers has taken upon the challenge to produce a sustainable alternative to classic merchandise, exemplifying how creating beautiful pieces doesn't have to compromise with creativity and the freedom of expression - in fact, proving just the opposite.
